It is an absolute pleasure to offer this forensically restored 1976 Yamaha RD250 - without a doubt the best example we are ever likely to see. The quality of this bike is nothing short of joyous, with every detail perfected to concours standard. There simply cannot be another like it. 
 
A project 10 years in the making, this matching numbers UK bike features many rare new-old-stock parts (including the exhausts), with that glorious Brigade Blue paint faithfully applied by Dream Machine. Now showing just 12,968 miles, it remains in ride-ready condition, with only the most nonchalant of kickstarts required to coax the eager (and fully rebuilt) little motor into life.  
 
A unique ticket straight back to the mid-70s, and we dare say, unrepeatable in this condition. Just wow, in every respect.

Cosmetic condition:
 
Impossible to fault, reflecting the bike's fastidious restoration and subsequent care. All of the paintwork is in perfect condition, maintaining a factory finish throughout (perhaps even better!). There are no visible marks to any of the frame, or mechanical parts like the engine covers. The rider contact areas are all free from any imperfections, and the seat remains unblemished. All switchgear is beautifully clean, and functions correctly. 
 
Mechanical condition:
 
Mechanically, the bike appears to be in perfect condition, starting instantly and achieving temperature quickly. That eager little air cooled two-stroke is typically gem-like, with all of the sounds (and smells) you would associate with a machine of the period. On the move, throttle and clutch are a delight. Brakes are responsive, pulling the bike up neatly. All other controls function correctly.
