Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

NOW RESERVED.

A rare opportunity to purchase what has to be one of the finest and most original Gen 1 Hayabusa's you are ever likely to see. This 1 owner, early UK bike was first registered on 13/09/1999, and was one of the very first bikes sold. We don't need to overplay the 'Busa's significance in the world of sportsbikes, but safe to say that it remains a performance icon, with values now reflecting its cult status.

This particular machine really is in breathtaking condition, having been meticulously cared for by the same devoted owner for 25 years - dry stored from the day it was delivered in a purpose-built, heated garage. The candy red and black paintwork is glorious, made perfect by the sensitive machine polish we have just undertaken.

It's hard to do justice to this bike in a few short words - our only recommendation is to come and see it for yourself. Of particular note are the original exhausts - so easily damaged on these bikes, yet totally unblemished. Likewise every sticker, decal and component. Even the rear seat cowl was supplied unused, and the second key still remains wrapped - never having been introduced to the ignition.

As you might expect, the bike benefits from a well documented history. Every receipt, tax disc (remember those?) and all original manuals have been preserved. The bike was originally supplied by GT Motorcycles of Yeovil, who performed the bulk of the servicing. In later years, as the bike saw more sparing use, minor maintenance was completed by the owner, and at Bransons Motorcycles (a Honda & Yamaha main agent).

Interest in these early bikes is gathering momentum. A) because so few genuine examples remain and B) because they are simply the purest incarnation of a bike so ferocious it sparked outrage in Parliament when first introduced.

Make no mistake, this is not your average Hayabusa. It really is a one-off, and not to be missed.

Please note: All bikes undergo a comprehensive inspection, and are offered HPI clear. Finance and warranties available. Buy with total confidence.

Paintwork: Cosmetically the bike is in near flawless condition, with only the smallest of marks picked up in 25 years of use. Very very little to report.

Mechanicals: The bike starts immediately, and settles from fast idle quickly.
