The 899 has long been a real favourite of ours. Blending usable power, with bags of character and stunning lines, it remains a spectacular machine. It's the sort of bike you just want to ride over, and over again.

In our opinion, it's the thinking man's Panigale, and given the direction taken by the most recent V2, a surefire future classic.

Extremely good, reflecting the care and attention lavished on this bike throughout its life. All of the painted surfaces are in perfect condition, retaining a superb finish throughout. There are no visible marks to any of the frame, or mechanical parts like the engine covers. The rider contact areas are all free from any imperfections, and the seat remains unblemished. All switchgear is beautifully clean, and functions correctly.

Mechanical condition:

Mechanically, the bike is in superb condition, starting instantly and achieving temperature quickly. That characterful 898cc SuperQuadro engine idles comfortably, free from any irregular noises or rattles. On the move, the engine feels exceptionally tight, as you would expect from a bike with this kind of provenance. Throttle and clutch are a delight. Brakes are responsive, pulling the bike up neatly and without hesitation.
