Honda VTR 1000 SP1

Honda VTR 1000 SP1

£11,495

We're delighted to present another iconic Honda - this time a cherished VTR1000 SP1 (RC51), taken from a private collection and in extremely clean condition. If you're in the market for a thumping, usable modern classic that will look after you financially, this bike will be hard to ignore.

Surely one of HRC's finest achievements, the SP1 is a much-admired machine with genuine WSBK pedigree. It's an event to ride (for all of the right reasons), and beautifully screwed together. True sportsbike royalty.

This particular example has covered 17,611 verified miles from new, and remains in standard, unmodified condition. Though very much a collectors bike from the get go, many SP1's found themselves adorned with all manner of aftermarket parts (think anodised bar ends, sticker kits, and shouty cans) Happily, this is not the case here.

2 careful owners have done a great job preserving both the mechanical, and cosmetic condition of the bike. Regular servicing and sympathetic use mean that unlike machines with comparatively few miles, this SP1 is very much on the button, and would make for an immensely satifying modern classic that could be ridden without any fear of damaging its future value.

History-wise, it was delivered to Tillston Motorcycles of Stockton-on-Tees on 06.09.2002, whereby it was registered to the dealer and retained in stock (not uncommon with SP1's in period). The bike's most significant owner (a Mr M Hardy) acquired the bike from Tillston in May 2004, keeping the bike for some 18 years, before it's most recent custodian added it to his collection in Feb 2022. There are 7 stamps in the service book, and the bike was last serviced in 2022 by High Barn Motorcycles.

The bike will be supplied with all original documentation, which pleasingly includes the original gold Honda owners card. It is also supplied with original toolkit (unused), and 2 x keys (one of which remains sealed).

This is a great opportunity to secure somewhat of a rarity in SP1 circles - a very low owner, totally standard bike that can be used as regularly as you might want. It is the essence of a modern classic, and chances are won't be around long. Therefore if you're interested, please don't hesitate to make an enquiry.

Please note: All bikes undergo a comprehensive inspection prior to sale, and are offered HPI clear. Nationwide delivery available. Buy with total confidence.
