It's a great pleasure to offer this very clean, and highly original 1992 CBR900RR Fireblade, presented here in launch colours and showing 32,897 miles. A UK bike, it is believed to be one of the very first delivered, having been registered on 15/05/1992.
 
The 1990s were punctuated by three iconic sportsbikes. The Ducati 916, the Yamaha R1, and perhaps most significanty, the SC28 Fireblade.
 
Its difficult to explain the impact this bike had without sounding like a broken record, but safe to say history will look upon it kindly, for it is very much the template for nearly everything that has followed. And in the right hands (on modern tyres), still more than capable of holding its own against today's machinery.
 
This particular bike was sourced from a private collection of modern classics, and is in very tidy condition. Save for an upgraded Ohlins rear shock, it is completely standard.
 
The bike has benefitted from regular use throughout its life, and though it has been tucked away since 2022, it runs and rides well. It has a reasonable service history, with its more recent maintenance (from 2010 onwards) evidenced by a reassuring stack of invoices and previous MOTs.

A nice addition to any collection, or indeed something to enjoy more regularly, without any fear of denting its future value. Good, original SC28s at sensible money are getting hard to come by, and we think at sub £5K, this represents excellent value.
